Sublime get away! If you are looking for an alternative Rotorua experience in your own slice of paradise with all the fun filled activities on your doorstep look no further. Angela was a great host who made us feel very welcome & surprised us with the most decadent treats. The house was fab, great decor, warm/dry, modern bathrooms with lotsa hot water to go around & very comfortable beds. Everything you would need for a relaxing getaway was provided. We all loved the hot tub with the amazing lake views ❤️. We hope to be back.

Such an amazing property. Everything you could want including a pro bean to cup coffee machine to enjoy a real coffee while watching the sun rise. Our hosts organised local chef Ryan Gregorash to come and cook us a 3 course meal which was fantastic! So awesome to be able to enjoy a brilliant meal without having to leave the house. The view from the spa pool was spectacular.
We had such a great time. And would stay again in a heart beat!

“Great place ! We all loved it ! Epic views, even from the spa. Such helpful hosts. Wonderful, large entertaining spaces and kitchen! Such soundproof bedrooms - perfect for my baby. Spencer Lodge is a spectacular property. Beautiful scenery, quality accommodation and location. We had planned to get out and about but once settled in decided that we didn't need to go anywhere, the lodge was perfect for our 3 night stay. We also opted for the private chef to cater a fine dining meal on site - simply superb. Angie and David are great hosts and ensure all out needs were met. A definite 5 star stay - thanks.

The place is incredible, well kept after! The rooms are gorgeous and very spacious. The sauna and spa are lovely. The area is quiet and the views are insane! We were brought up some firewood for the fire places as well. 11/10 would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area or near Rotorua.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at Spencer Lodge. It was perfect for our group os 2 adults and 6 teens. Loads of space, nice warm house with amazing views. The house was beautifully decorated and in great repair (not tired or worn). The kitchen was large and had everything we needed - a great array of platter and bowls, utensils and pots and pans etc etc. We loved the log fire which was well stocked with plenty of wood, along with the outdoor fireplace which was perfect for roasting marshmallows! It was a nice bit of winter luxury and we'd love to return in the future. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, available if needed but otherwise left us to it which was perfect.

What a wonderful experience it was to stay at the beautiful lodge. Angie and Dave cover all your needs no matter how insignificant. Attention for hospitality was amazing - this included them lighting the fire and putting on the underfloor heating so we arrived to a warm and welcoming place. The little touch of smoked trout treas was especially yummy. Thank you guys for a weekend to remember - we will be back and have no hesitation in recommending this fabulous lodge to anyone who wants a memorable place to stay.

We stayed in this lodge as a large extended family. There were ample spaces for all of us to relax and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. The attention to detail is amazing and adds a calming true traditional lodge feel to the entire place. The spa pool and sauna overlook the lake, a perfect place to enjoy an evening drink and relax after a day of exploring the lake and the many surrounding activities. There is plenty of parking for cars and boats and easy access. There are two large outdoor areas with fireplaces so no matter where the wind is coming from you can sit outside and enjoying the abiance. The host Angela is very kind, attentive and ensures that all your needs are catered for. We will definitely be back to enjoy this world class lodge.

Spencer Lodge is a beautiful private home with the most incredible views of Lake Tarawera and amazing gardens. We cannot thank Angie and Dave (the owners) enough for helping us achieve an incredible wedding day at this property. Spencer Lodge itself formed a beauticul and private setting for our ceremony and photo's while the paddocks below catered to our marquee set up for our reception. With Jack's Hut and The Woolshed we were able make a weekend of it with family and friends. We highly recommend this property.

Had a lovely 4 night stay at this wonderful property just after New Year. The views are stunning over the lake expecially when you look out in the morning from the front bedroom. Angie and Dave are great hosts and the house is kitted out with everything you could need for your stay. With four large ensuite bedrooms and plenty of space the house can cater for large families or equally would be a perfect romantic retreat - just need a hammock on the front lawn. Would thoroughly recommend, Brett, Gerry, Kiana and Nonu.
